Mmm. . . Yes! I believe so and I think I know EXACTLY what you're talking about! :) Love you!

Coco Chanelle Jepson at 12:56am November 17
Ali I love you too

Kelsey Helm at 10:14am November 17
looks like you cant fight with eric, hes got God all figured out. I dont think im going to believe in God anymore because a UK ad told me not to. Eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die

Coco Chanelle Jepson at 10:31am November 17
I know for someone who doesn't believe in God he sure feels like he knows a lot about him. The reason I said because God said so is because I got a response to the statement the church said concerning proposititon 8 in California. I had a friend say that it was a good statement but why didn't they just say because God said so. That got me thinking that we bare our testimonies in Christ's name, we take upon his name and try to take his example of charity throughout our lives, we believe in his gospel, we know of his sacrafice and use his atonement and our prophet gets revelation from him and God, so why not say because God said so? If personal revelation is what leads my life to do good than why let an athiest try to down play the importance of that. I understand the argument that many wars have been fought in the name of God but that doesn't mean God said to do it. Many crazies have murdered because they think an almighty power told them to. God loves all of us

I know God wants less hate and pain in the world and more love and acceptance. If God leads people to be righteous and do good works among each other than why belittle him and compare him with the Easter bunny for I know God means a lot to a lot of people in this world.

Kelsey Helm at 2:28pm November 17
well its kinda ironic that people can be so ' accepting of others' for example gay marriage. and yet make fun of God? if your so open minded, doesnt that contradict?

Coco Chanelle Jepson at 2:43pm November 17
I think you pick and choose what to be open minded too but that doesn't mean you have absorb everything presented to you.. I think the problem is people are calling out names and accusing people of bigotry but they themselves are biguous and intolerant. Especially when it comes to God and what Christians believe he stands for.

Kelsey Helm at 2:58pm November 17
right, and Im saying you can be an open minded person and not believe in God, but you wouldnt compare God to the Easter bunny. You would be respectful to other peoples beliefs.

Coco Chanelle Jepson at 3:15pm November 17
That's very true..

Eric Harlow at 12:22am November 18
1st of all, yes, the reason I lack belief in any God is because I saw an ad on a UK bus. It's not like I didn't go to church all my life growing up or anything like that. You preach of being more respectful of other people's beliefs right after you mock me for expressing my disbelief. I've attacked Chanelle personally once and apologized for it. "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone".
"I think you pick and choose what to be open minded too but that doesn't mean you have absorb everything presented to you" Exactly. Half the reason I post the stuff I do is because it presents an opposing view point and I realize Chanelle is intellectual enough to carry out a reasonable debate and just because someone believes strongly in something doesn't mean its off limits from non-personal attacks. If anything, it should serve to reaffirm your beliefs.
Finally, tell me honestly you've never made fun of Santa Clause or the Easter bunny. That's disrespectful to kids worldwide

Eric Harlow at 12:26am November 18
because they believe with all their heart that Santa Clause or the Easter bunny do exist. If you don't like what I have to say Kelsey, either ignore me or delete me as a friend. Simple as that.

Coco Chanelle Jepson at 3:06am November 18
I know that thinking about and sincerely pondering about your beliefs and having them tested makes your belief stronger. I remember learning about the neurological pathways in the brain that are strengthened the more they are confirmed and that's where your morals and standards are presented. The more you think about, act upon, and fight for those standards and morals the stronger your "testimony" of them becomes. These debates can be beneficial for both parties involved. I do agree with Kelsey on it being disrespectful and just because people do it doesn't make it right. Some things however are important to some and not to others. I've said words before that are highly offensive to others but to me they don't have the same emotions behind them so I had no problem saying them. Atheist vs LDS is always welcome on my status's.. just cuz I know I'll always win! haha ; )
